Display for my new addition...

I am getting a small piece of a screen used Battle Droid from Star Wars Episode I..so I got a shadow box and made this display page.


Hope the piece arrives soon!!!

You've got Brenda buying stuff like this now. She bought a poster of the new movie and I'll have to make a backlit frame for it.

Well..the piece isn't here yet...

Is the poster double sided? True theater ones are printed with the reverse image on the back side so they can be backlit and the images doesn't wash through.

I actually made a poster frame/breaker box cover for my last theater..and used a rope light inside it to backlight it. It was spotty with the lights..so I wouldn't recommend that.

You need to post that build on your blog too!

Yep, It's double sided theater quality.
I've been looking at sites that have tutorials on making the box,
But it may be awhile before I try to make one.

I'm sure many people there have made them. :) It was a thread there mentioning someone who made an R2D2 out of sonotube that got me looking in R2building.

Before my 1:1 collection I was just into home theaters...weird how things work.
